Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing, and wrestling prior to her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd took advantage of this win and began a 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in all the fights. Following that, she travelled to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen in the fight, beating her by unanimous vote. Cynthia's records as a professional were marred. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her, securing a first-round TKO. Her next bout was a win in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission, and then moved up to Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen used her wrestling expertise to knock down McGill with a TKO during the third-round (elbows and punches). Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) at the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd did not make the weight. Aspen, however, beat Hoy with a TKO. Her final fight with the promotion, she defeated Sijara Eubanks via unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round in the 2nd. Then, in her third fight she overcame Tonya Evinger even more impressively. Ladd finished Evinger in the opening round and got an outstanding performance bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first fight she had in any major way. Both fighters fought a close fight that Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. Both fighters received their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her losing streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in the 3rd round at UFC 7 on ESPN. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was lost by majority verdict.
